FLORA X EDJI GALLERY (19.03.25)

FLORA X EDJI GALLERY (19.03.25)

This Wednesday, March 19th, we’ll be part of the EDJI Gallery opening, where we’ll showcase a floral installation in collaboration with Paloma Studio alongside a Flora tasting.

This unique arrangement will complement the exhibition’s ethereal atmosphere, creating a dialogue between nature and art. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy a Flora tasting, offering a sensory experience that enhances the evening’s immersive quality.

EDJI’s exhibition brings together eight contemporary painters who reinterpret the concept of the sublime in their work. Drawing inspiration from Romantic landscapes and Symbolist abstraction, these artists explore the intersection of reality and dream. Their paintings embrace fluidity, soft transitions of color, and atmospheric compositions that evoke a sense of contemplation.

In contrast to hyperrealism, which has dominated figurative painting in recent years, these artists prioritize mood over precision. Their works reflect a broader response to today’s digital landscape, where images are often defined by sharp detail and rigid perspective. Instead, they invite viewers into a world where light dissolves edges, forms shift, and the intangible becomes tangible.

Artists : Adam Lupton, Arthur Grucela, Emma Steinkraus, Harriet Gillett, Heather Drayzen, Mark Hernandez, Ping Zheng, Yunchun Wang.
